Invisalign®
Invisalign® is an innovative system of clear aligners that straightens teeth in much the same way as braces. The custom-made aligners are adjusted and changed over a period of time to create even, straight teeth. The Invisalign® system eliminates the need to endure years of painful braces. Patients find the aligners comfortable and easier to care for.
After your initial consultation with Dr. Diette, an impression will be taken of your teeth and sent to Invisalign® specialists who will create your custom aligners.
At your next visit, you will receive your custom set of tooth-straightening aligners, which are designed to fit over your teeth. The duration of time needed to complete the straightening process varies with each individual; however, the aligners are usually worn for six to 24 months. During this time you may wear 18 to 24 different aligners as you move toward your goal of straighter teeth.
Unlike traditional braces, aligners can be removed while you eat; however, they should be worn most of the time or as instructed by your dentist.
